Where’d it go? Not sure how this new fangled “glass” technology works!
Big box markup
Best Buy memory card priced at $89. Walked out if the store with it for $23 after a B&H Photo price check/match! It pays to do your online research. Also gives you an idea of the markup at big box stores.
Google won’t go down without a fight
Watching Google I/O live. Amazon made a huge impact with their Echo (aka Alexa). But Google isn’t going down without a fight. They’re ramping Google Assistant up with “Google Lens” to combine both audio/voice context with image recognition. The demo is showing some amazing stuff on the way. Just goes to show… when giants truly […]
Major loss
Well I am BEYOND pissed off. The very expensive high speed/capacity memory card in my very expensive “pro-sumer” camera just failed. The Canon 70D gave absolutely no indication that there was a problem. It allowed me to see images in preview and then simply and silently didn’t write them to the bad card. I lost […]
Photo to drawing

Apple removes battery indicator
Got to love it. Tons of folks having problems with battery life on the new Mac Books they’ve waited years to get their hands on. Apples response… remove the part of the battery indicator that shows the “time remaining” in a laptop’s charge, saying that those estimates can be inaccurate. What a wanker thing to […]
