Just upgraded our kitchen Echo from a cheap Dot to the first-generation Echo Sow. At $129 (now through then end of Amazon Prime week) it’s a bit of a no brainier upgrade. The sound quality isn’t quite a rich as the Bose we had the Dot connected to, but it’s pretty decent and a lot less wires and connection hassles. Just starting to play with the touch screen aspect of the Show. So far, it’s a very nice addition. The only thing I would say about the display is that it doesn’t vertically articulate, so it needs to be placed higher than a standard countertop for a good viewing angle. Luckily where we have it in our kitchen is perfect.

This is the type of budding technology that deprecates spending billions of dollars on super carriers etc. Much of what’s necessary to build drone swarms is readily available commercially. Find it a little spooky that the Government would allow LightSquared to launch a network that is proven to interfere with planes GPS, yet still forces me to turn off my iPhone “just in case”.
