Didn’t realize I had a simlink buried in the directory to an NFS mount pointing back at my main NAS video media directory. Arrrrgggg! And no there isn’t a backup for everything. Too many video Tb’s and it was on a Raid5. Yes you can say it… “Takes some kind of stupid kid!” Goes to show Raid doesn’t protect against stupid. For those interested, the symlink was for WordPress convenience since the built in media handling is for crap. Going to have to read up on rm command to see if you can use a flag to warn a person before it recursively follows symlinks.
