All my systems are patched up for Spectre and Meltdown. The performance impact isn’t noticeable on my laptop and main desktop as in general they’re lightly used. However, on one of my Win 10 development systems were I have quite a few Docker containers running, the hit was sizable! All my CPUs are pre-Haswell (2015), so it’s no surprise. I’m just a bit cranked because in the end Intel is going to benefit tremendously from this bug as it will force of hosting companies to upgrade and/or add capacity to the tune of 10’s of millions of CPU sales. Hopefully some will go the AMD route, but I doubt it.
