So Apple, if a “degraded” battery causes such problems, are you slowing down your iPads? How about my MacBook Pro? iWatches? If not, then exactly what is so different/critical about iPhones that makes it imperative to slow them down vs. the 100’s of millions of other Apple devices out there?
If it’s unique to the iPhone, then exactly what defect, and I do mean defect, exists in the hardware to cause such an issue? It can’t be software, otherwise there would be a simple fix possible. And if it IS a defect and not intentional, then why do iPhone 7’s and 8’s have the exact same problem. And again, why doesn’t this problem exist for other Apple hardware out there; or, does it exist and Apple is defacto admitting they could care less about any of their products that aren’t labeled iPhone?
The whole excuse about wanting to avoid a shutdown only on iPhone 6 forward simply doesn’t pass the sniff test. I hope that as part of the lawsuits they subpoena everything. I highly suspect we’re going to find that this one raises to the level of the VW diesel scandal when all is said and done.
