And on the 8th day, God created the regular screw. And lo God looked and it was good, for it heldeth all manner of things together. Then the serpent, to tempt man, created the CHEAP ASS POT METAL PHILIPS SCREW. And man was tempted by the quick centerness of it. He did then use the […]

Office365 is rock solid
So far, Office365 is rock solid and quite powerful. For my Apple/Mac friends out there, I’m running all Office365 apps on Win8 using Parallels 8 Coherence. Experience is entirely seamless to the point where I’ll likely uninstall the native Office suite (which is WAY behind the windows 2013 apps feature-wise and in terms of ease […]
Switch to Verizon Fios
Tired of grainy over compressed Comcast HD. Just ordered Verizon Fios Triple-play with killer deal (hour of chatting up Verizon sales person). Installation next week. Hope I don’t regret.
Flash v. HTML5
Similar to the old Blu-ray vs. HD-DVD battle, we now seem to be in the middle of a Flash vs. HTML5 battle for video. The reality is that Flash is riddled with security issues. No-touch Faucet
Call me lazy, but I absolutely love my new kitchen faucet with optical sensors. Saves time and is much more sanitary when cooking.

Window 8 – pile of poo
Initial experience with Windows 8 is that it is an unfinished pile of poo. Upgraded using the wizard and it automatically installed 32-bit version on my i5 x64 processor with no choice given…$39 down the tube. Bought 60Gb SSD for the core OS install, then found out that Windows 8 applications automatically install on the […]
iPhone back with new screen
Sure is nice to have my iPhone back sans shattered screen! Next stop phone store for a case. “Gorilla Glass” is like thin fine china if you bump – yes BUMP, not hit – it on the edge.
LightSquared v. LTE
Find it a little spooky that the Government would allow LightSquared to launch a network that is proven to interfere with planes GPS, yet still forces me to turn off my iPhone “just in case”.
