Unimpressed with iOS 8 announcement and in need of a new phone, I took the plunge and went with a Samsung Galaxy S5. While plain Android is boring, so far I’ve really enjoyed the TouchWiz interface. I’m super impressed with the large bright screen and the the massive battery life in such a light-weight/thin package. Only a few days with the phone and I’m convinced that Apple needs to get off their duff and start innovating vs. incrementally improving old technology.

Intentional obsolescence
5 year old Android tablet… most popular apps install and run. 5 year old iPad Mini… 90% of popular apps won’t install, rendering it nearly useless. This issue isn’t directly Apple’s fault, as there is a way for developers to support older versions of the iOS… they simply don’t as a rule.
