With two laptops on my desktop and all the associated peripherals, coffee mug, notepads, speakers, etc. space is at a premium. I use to have two full size Logitech cordless keyboards, but that left little room between them to manipulate the mouse belonging to the left-hand system. So I decide to go with a more compact keyboard.
I settled on the Cooler Master CK721. On Amazon, it was $99 and it looked to be the right size at 65%. It includes full sized arrow keys; which, in spite of the fact that I often use VIM, is still important. It also has a choice of Cherry MX mechanical keys; I chose brown. For an old school typist who learned on an IBM Select typewriter and who used IBM PC keyboards with their mechanical keys for a couple of decades, the mechanical vs. mush keys are a blessing.
After about 2-weeks of constant use, I am absolutely loving the CK721. It is nice and compact on the desktop, has wonderful key feel and click sound, and well what’s not to like.
